Almela Construction Corporation

The company was founded in 1991 with a vision to provide reasonable But high-quality construction services. Led by a highly-trained and Passionate Civil Engineer, the late Engr. Alfredo M. Lalu, the company quickly became one of the primary general building contractors of the Philippine's leading bookstore, National Book Store (NBS). It's services expanded to National Book Store's affiliate companies: Crossings Department Store, Crossing Supermarket, Power Books, The Music One, and Darphin Boutique. Due to Almela's high quality and efficient project delivery, it then gained the trust of major banking clients, among others, and has become a preferred general contractor of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and Bank of Commerce. In recent years, it has expanded its services into residential and office building fit-outs for major developers like Empire East Land Holdings, Inc.
As of mid-2023, Almela has completed various ranging from full interior fit-out services to renovation projects at over 150 National Book Store branches, more than 250 RCBC branches, and more than 5 Bank of Commerce branches across the Philippines. The company remains to be one of NBS', RCBC's, and BOC's trusted and preferred general building contractors.
